I made this 4 Color screen print in collaboration with The Ace Hotel in 2013, it was released alongside the completion of my installation at their Palm Springs property.
The original piece was chosen from several drawings I made while preparing for the install which happened to be my first large mural.
Big thanks to Junk Magazine for pulling the project together and starting me down this path of large installations.
The original run is sold out but I just came across a few artists proofs and want to share them here.
FABRICK X ERIN D. GARCIA
Launching with a Tokyo shoot starring Kiko Mizuhara by photographer Jake Michaels, Los Angeles- based artist Erin D Garcia brings his permuting large scale murals, distilled installations and infinite patterns to a collaboration with Japanese bag and homewares label, Fabrick.
Following a recent exhibition at Shin Okishima’s SO Gallery in Tokyo, Erin D. Garcia returns to Japan where Fabrick – a sub label of Medicom, whose past partnerships include A Bathing Ape, Andy Warhol and Neighborhood – invited the artist to create a single, endless textile print.
This artwork features across a line off 22, made-in-Japan pieces, from slippers, pillows, to mountain backpacks and wallets.
